The motion

That the Parliament applauds school pupil Peggy-Nan Rodger for signing up to be a Give and Go volunteer, at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, for the third time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that the Give and Go service is a drop-off service operated by volunteers at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, and the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, which allows family and friends of hospital patients to drop off essential belongings, such as fresh pyjamas and toiletries, and to collect laundry, at times when visiting has had to be restricted; highlights what it sees as the invaluable role that the Give and Go service has played as part of the COVID-19 response, and the positive difference that the service has made to patients; recognises that Peggy-Nan, now 17 years old, was just 15 when she started volunteering at the hospital, and understands that Peggy-Nan is keen to encourage others to follow in her footsteps by volunteering at their local hospital.
