Slamannan Primary School Education Scotland Report
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes HM Inspectors of Education’s positive report for Slamannan Primary School, from Education Scotland; understands that the report praises the efforts of school staff, children and their families for working together throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to overcome the challenges faced with remote learning; notes that the report also mentions the work of staff in ensuring children and families with limited access to online resources were included in learning from home by developing fully resourced paper packs and developing a flexible approach to online learning; recognises what it sees as the creativity shown by staff to help aid the transition for nursery children into P1 and the creative use of videos and social media, as well as staff in early years providing effective support for children and families moving from early learning to primary school; notes the progress made, identified in the report, particularly in early learning and childcare; commends staff, children and families at Slamannan Primary School for an excellent report from HM Inspectors, and looks forward to hearing of further progress made in the future.
