Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home “Paws Pantry”

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the support given by the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home to pet owners in the community during times of need and often in times of financial difficulty; understands that the Home’s pet foodbank, Paws Pantry, was launched in 2019 and has since partnered with over 50 human foodbanks and supported over 7,000 pets in 2021; notes that the foodbank offers wet and dry food, jackets, collars, leads, bowls and bedding, and the dedicated and passionate staff can also offer pet care advice, and thanks the staff for their efforts in helping to empower pet owners to continue to care for their own animals.
