Community Fridge Network

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the groups across Motherwell and Wishaw that have been successful in the Community Fridge Network; understands that community fridges are social spaces that reduce food waste and empower communities to help each other through activities, such as cookery sessions and workshops on how to grow your own fruit and veg; acknowledges that the Hubbub is looking to expand and identify areas that have not yet benefited from a community fridge and encourage them to apply for grants of £4,000, receive free support, guidance, design assets and equipment; commends the Co-op and Hubbub for their ongoing support to local communities, and wishes the local organisations every success with their projects.
