The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dundee and Angus College on its recent success in the 2021 Scottish Public Service Awards, with the College winning the Sustainability Award for its continuing efforts to become a net-zero institution, as well as on its nomination for the 2022 Scottish Apprenticeship Awards' Innovation in Learning Provision Award; recognises what it sees as the College’s sector-leading sustainability programme and impressive progress in meeting its climate change targets, with, it understands, a 61% reduction in the College's carbon footprint over the last 11 years through implementation of a wide range of green policies and awareness-raising for behavioural change; commends the College’s Care team on what it believes to be an innovative approach to supporting Foundation Apprentice learners throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, with creative approaches to work-based learning developed to address constraints on placements; celebrates the fact that these achievements follow numerous other sustainability and education awards won by the College in recent years, and understands that the College has brought great benefits that have been felt by the region of Scotland that it immediately serves and beyond.
