Lanarkshire Chef Wins Scotland’s Best Pizza at Scottish Italian Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Franco Scanavini and Tony’s fish and chip shop in Coatbridge on their success at the Scottish Italian Awards 2021; notes that Franco won the category of Scotland’s best pizza, marking his second successive title, after also winning the category at the previous awards in 2019; understands that Franco, who has been a pizza chef for 30 years, is preparing to travel back to his native Italy in February 2022 to compete in the World Championship, and wishes him all the very best for the prestigious competition.
