Golden Jubilee National Hospital Cardiologist Appointed to Senior BSH Role

That the Parliament congratulates Professor Roy Gardner, a consultant cardiologist at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital, in Clydebank, on his appointment as chair of the British Society for Heart Failure; understands that he has specialised in this field for 14 years and built world-class expertise in advanced heart failure, complex device implantation and biomarkers; further understands that Professor Gardner and the BSH aim to offer patients better life quality and longevity by using the latest medication, defibrillators, pacemakers and heart transplantations; commends him for what it sees as his work towards eliminating heart failure as a leading cause of death in the UK, and appreciates his efforts at a national level.
