St Ninian’s High School Pupils Achieve Silver Status Accreditation From UNICEF

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates pupils at St Ninian’s High School in Kirkintilloch, on achieving Silver status accreditationfrom UNICEF; understands that the RSS Rights Respecting Schools group hasworked hard to raise £607 for the UN Afghan Emergency Appeal Fund; furtherunderstands that the 15 Ambassadors have raised awareness for events andprojects that aim to help pupils understand and empathise with those lessfortunate; notes that the pupils ran a Rights Respecting Schools podcast, whichis now available on Spotify, and gives interviews with staff, pupils and thewider community, helping to raise awareness of the UN Convention on the Rightsof the Child (UNCRC), and applauds the podcast for working with the library,the Well-bean café and the Equalities group, and for raising the profile ofevents such as Active Girls Day, the school show and Anti-Bullying week.
