Jane Stirling Retires After 36 Years in Healthcare

Lodged by Stuart McMillan (Scottish National Party) Standard Motion 17 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament wishes Jane Stirling, podiatry hub administrator at Greenock Health and Care Centre, all the best for her retirement, after clocking up 36 years of service in the healthcare sector; understands that Jane, 67, started her career with the former Argyll and Clyde Health Board in 1976, took a break in 1986 to have her two daughters, before returning to podiatry ten years later, and has been a key member of the team ever since; further understands that Jane’s colleagues were swift to pay tribute to her long-term contribution to podiatry in Inverclyde, and what it sees as the positive impact she has had on the community during her service; believes that Jane will be missed by her colleagues and the patients she came into contact with, and hopes she enjoys her well-earned break.
