Asda Green Token Giving Funding Benefits Midlothian Projects
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the funding provided to local projects in Midlothian from the Asda Foundation; understands that this is part of the Asda Green Token Giving funding, which provides grants to a range of causes in Scotland, including new groups that have been established to help deal with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic; recognises that this funding was allocated to Mayfield & Easthouses Development Trust, who were awarded £500, and Mayfield & Easthouses Youth 2000 Project, who were awarded £200; notes that these organisations were chosen by the customers at the Asda store in Straiton, where, it understands, local customers voted for the projects that matter most to them in their area; commends the work of the Asda Foundation in Midlothian, and wishes Mayfield & Easthouses Development Trust and Mayfield & Easthouses Youth 2000 Project all the best going forward.
