Annbank Community Hall
The motion
That the Parliament commends what it sees as the hard work and dedication of a group of mums who have reportedly saved their village community hall; understands that it was decided to set up the Annbank Community Association after being made aware that the hall was to close down, with its sights set on purchasing it from South Ayrshire Council in a community asset transfer after taking on a new lease; notes that since last Spring, the group has utilised the facility as an events space, hosting cinema events, a catch-up café to tackle social isolation in the village, and even became a winter wonderland for the Night Before Christmas Campaign, which involved stocking hundreds of donations and presents, and wishes the group of mums and all volunteers involved, the very best for the year ahead.
