Golden Jubilee Celebrates 500th Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank as it marks its 500th Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) procedure at the end of January 2022; understands that TAVI is a less-invasive heart procedure, which involves fitting a valve into the heart using a catheter to treat aortic stenosis; recognises the success of the Golden Jubilee for reaching this milestone, and commends the hard work and dedication of staff in helping patients who experience the most serious types of heart conditions.
