Asda Straiton Commended for Raising Funds for Local Community Projects
The motion
That the Parliament commends Asda Stores at Straiton on raising £900 through a recent round of the Asda Foundation Green Token Giving Programme; notes that Mayfield and Easthouses Development Trust received £500 and Mayfield and Easthouses Youth 2000 Project and Nappi Runz were each awarded £200; understands that the Asda Foundation offers several different funding streams for local community projects, large and small; further understands that, in 2021, the Asda Foundation invested more than £700,000 in community projects and good causes in Scotland that have made a real difference to the wider community, and thanks both the Asda Foundation, and in particular, Asda Straiton for supporting important local organisations.
