Green Token Giving Funding at ASDA Dyce and Middleton Park Stores
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the continued funding for local groups and organisations from ASDA Dyce and Middleton Park through the Green Token Giving Scheme; notes that local groups can be nominated by members of the public and can then be chosen to be part of the customer vote; understands that the most recent projects to benefit from funding in Aberdeen Donside, include Brimmond School PTA and Grampian Woman’s Aid, which received £500 each, with the runners up, Bridge of Don and District Men's Shed, Bridge of Don Community Council, Stoneywood Parent Council and 1st Skene Girl’s Brigade, each receiving £200; further understands that all funding received by the local groups will be put towards improving the local communities around the stores; considers that the Green Token Giving Scheme is a positive way of ASDA being able to give something back to the communities it serves, and congratulates each winner and runner-up on receiving their funding that will help to support local communities.
