North East Sensory Services Funding Award
The motion
That the Parliament commends the work of North East Sensory Services (NESS); congratulates the charity on being awarded a funding grant of over £121,000 from the Bank of Scotland Foundation as part of the 2021 Change Grants Programme, which, it understands, will help support NESS' work with people who have hearing and visual impairments; understands that this funding will allow NESS to continue to support vulnerable people through its ICT For All service and provide more training and support in the use of accessible technology and digital devices; further understands that the funding, which runs for two years, will also enable the charity to recruit an additional part-time ICT Officer, which will help to meet increased demand throughout Dundee, Angus, Aberdeen and Moray; thanks NESS, its staff, and volunteers for their hard work and dedication across the north east of Scotland, and wishes them all the very best for the coming year.
