SUEZ Communities Trust

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Irvine and Dreghorn Brass Band, which was awarded £10,712 through the SUEZ Communities Trust; understands that the SUEZ Communities Trust distributes the landfill tax credits donated by SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK (formerly SITA UK) to enhance communities through the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund; further understands that Irvine and Dreghorn Brass Band purchased a building from North Ayrshire Council through a community asset transfer in October 2020 to create a community music centre and that the funds will help to bring it back into community use and ensure that the building is in the best possible condition when it is fully operational; congratulates Irvine and Dreghorn Brass Band on receiving its award, and wishes it every success with the music centre.
