Greenock Morton Community Trust Supporting Men into More Healthy Lifestyles
The motion
That the Parliament commends Greenock Morton Community Trust on its efforts to support men in Inverclyde into more healthier lifestyles; understands that the charity has been awarded £10,000 from the People’s Health Trust and that it will use the money, which was raised by Health Lottery Scotland, to fund activities like walking football and its Team Talk initiative, which encourages people to discuss their feelings in a relaxed space; believes that the work of Greenock Morton Community Trust is helping to reduce the stigma around mental health in Inverclyde by providing a safe environment for people, particularly men, to speak openly about the issue, and wishes those involved in the project all the best for the future.
