Ladies of the Rock, Bannockburn
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Ladies of the Rock in Bannockburn on the community work supporting people who were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that Ladies of the Rock was created at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, in March 2020, by local businesses and community members around Bannockburn; acknowledges what it sees as the fantastic work Ladies of the Rock have undertaken in setting up a community larder, delivering emergency food parcels and maintaining contact with those in isolation to minimise loneliness, particularly with older and vulnerable people; notes that Ladies of the Rock have been nominated for the Provost's Award for their work during the pandemic, and believes that, despite COVID-19 restrictions reducing, the demand for Ladies of the Rock services has not diminished, with the rising costs of living.
