Strichen Resilience Group Sharing Larder
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Strichen Resilience Group on the upcoming second anniversary of its Sharing Larder; understands that the community scheme is operated from Strichen Parish Church Hall and run by volunteers; notes that the larder is supported by local businesses, including the Co-op and Nisa stores; acknowledges that the larder is open to anyone who needs it, and to donations of non-perishable items and money to purchase essential items; understands the larder was opened in March 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to be well used by the community; notes the importance of volunteer-led schemes such as the Sharing Larder to communities across Scotland; applauds the efforts of the volunteers who operate the Sharing Larder, and wishes them well.
