The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Larbert High School S3 pupils, Lauren, Katie and Lily, on reaching the final of the Growing Future Assets Investment Competition 2022; notes that the competition is run by Future Asset; understands that it aims to encourage high-school girls in Scotland to look at the world of investment in order to develop interpersonal skills, confidence, problem-solving powers and resilience, and to teach about responsible and ethical investment and empowering change in the world; further understands that Future Asset believes that being female should never be a barrier to progressing in a chosen career; notes that the contest will see eight teams compete to deliver extended pitches to judges, to prove their abilities to spot investment opportunities through research and analysis, with winners due to be announced on 2 March 2022; congratulates Lauren, Katie and Lily on their progress in the competition, and wishes them the very best of luck for the final.
