Victoria Bowling Club Celebrate 125th Anniversary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Victoria Bowling Club in Greenock as it prepares to celebrate its 125th anniversary, having been founded in 1897; understands that the club has a whole calendar of events planned to mark the milestone, including various games and themed party nights; further understands that a significant amount of funding has been spent modernising the clubhouse; notes that the club takes its name from Queen Victoria, who was celebrating her diamond jubilee in the year the club was founded; understands that over its history, the club has been an important part of the local community by providing a space for groups to meet; believes that it will continue to be at the heart of the community, particularly given the recent investment in club facilities, and wishes the club all the best for the future.
