That the Parliament acknowledges and congratulates Dr Emma E. Forbes, founder of GlassWalls, on the release of her book, Victims' Experiences of the Criminal Justice Response to Domestic Abuse: Beyond Glass Walls; notes that the official book launch will take place at the Scottish Parliament on 10 March 2022; understands that the Lord Justice Clerk and Lord Advocate will be keynote speakers at the event, which aims to raise awareness of the challenges faced by those who report crimes of an intimate nature; acknowledges what it sees as the poignant and powerful use of survivors' artwork throughout the publication that shines a light on their experiences; delights that a focus of the work of the organisation, GlassWalls, is the creation of stained glass panels, whose vibrant, positive colours fill the rooms where they are exhibited; understands that Dr Forbes is one of the first Justice Fellows in Scotland, working with the Scottish Government and the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research, to inform policy through analysis of, what it understands, is ground-breaking research; thanks all those who have contributed to the book in such a meaningful way; wishes the team at GlassWalls continued fulfilment and impact through their work, and sends encouragement to the organisers and participants of the imminent book launch for a successful event of lasting impact.
