Mind Your Head Week

That the Parliament recognises Mind Your Head week, which ran from 14 to 18 February 2022; notes that it was organised by the Farm Safety Foundation, a rural charity, which, it understands, has called for the agricultural industry to address the issue of poor mental health head on; understands that the week was used to show people that help is available and to promote the benefits of talking; further understands that recent research by the Farm Safety Foundation revealed that 92% of UK farmers under the age of 40 believe that poor mental health is the biggest hidden problem facing farmers, and urges the Scottish Government to do more to boost rural mental health provision, especially for farmers and rural workers.
