Bo’ness Academy Leavers Trek for the Teenage Cancer Trust
The motion
That the Parliament commends Owen Watkins, Aaron Marsters and Findlay Macinnes on their plans to walk the West Highland Way this summer to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust; understands that the S6 pupils at Bo’ness Academy are due to leave school in June 2022 and have chosen to complete the 96-mile trek for charity rather than head abroad on holiday; further understands that their original fundraising target of £250 was hit within a number of days, and it has now reached over £1,000; understands that the boys will bleach their hair for the hike having broken the £1,000 barrier in their fundraising; commends Owen, Aaron and Findlay on their initiative, and wishes them a safe and enjoyable hike on the West Highland Way later this year.
