Airdrie Academy Achieves LGBT Charter at Gold Level

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Airdrie Academy on achieving the LGBT Charter at Gold level; recognises what it sees as the hard work and dedication of pupils and staff in achieving this prestigious award from LGBT Youth Scotland; understands that the pupil-led LGBTI+ group, Pride not Prejudice, leads a variety of LGBT campaigns, and welcomes the training and review of policies, practice and resources that aim, it understands, to ensure that Airdrie Academy goes beyond meeting legislative needs, and is as inclusive as it can be for pupils, staff, parents and the wider community.
