The Bookmark and Highland Bookshop Shortlisted
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates The Bookmark, in Grantown-on-Spey, and the Highland Bookshop, in Fort William, for being shortlisted for the Independent Bookshop of Year Award; recognises that the Independent Bookshop of the Year celebrates bookshops that support their communities; understands that The Bookmark and the Highland Bookshop will compete against other independent bookshops in Scotland, including Far from the Madding Crowing, in Linlithgow, and The Edinburgh Bookshop, and wishes the shortlisted independent bookshops all the best for the awards.
