Motion · S6M-03364 · 25 Feb 2022
Response to the Russian Federation Invasion of Ukraine
The motion
That the Parliament offers solidarity to the people of Ukraine, following what it considers to be the invasion by armed forces of the Russian Federation and, it believes, Belarus; calls on the Russian Federation's Consul General to be expelled from Edinburgh; requests that the Scottish Government urgently undertakes a comprehensive audit to identify any potentially corrupt Russian ownership of companies, land and associated property assets in Scotland, and supports, in principle, any fast-track legislative measures that may be deemed necessary to allow for the confiscation of such assets.
