NHS Long Service Award for Angus HSCP Chief Officer, Gail Smith

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Chief Officer of Angus Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP), Gail Smith, on receiving her Long Service Certificate for her forty years of work with the NHS; understands that this service has encompassed specialised adult nursing, managing elderly care at Stracathro Hospital, time as Clinical Services Development Manager for two Local Health Care Co-operatives in Angus, and further promotion to management roles with Angus Community Health Partnerships prior to those with AHSCP; further understands that she additionally held the position of Lead Clinician for the NHS Tayside Stroke Managed Clinical Network, from 2003 to 2016, and commends the vision and leadership that it believes her to have brought to AHSCP since 2016, following the integration of health and social care, including the strategic development and delivery of Community Health and Care Services in Angus.
