Michelin Awards Recognise Quality of Perthshire Food Culture
The motion
That the Parliament notes the 2022 Michelin star ceremony, which took place as a digital event on 15-16 February 2022; considers that recognition in such awards is particularly welcome after two very trying years for the restaurant sector; congratulates Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, at Gleneagles Hotel, on retaining its two Michelin star status for the 17th consecutive year; welcomes what it considers the well-deserved special award for best service in Great Britain and Ireland, which was awarded to Dale Dewsbury, General Manager at the Restaurant Andrew Fairlie; congratulates Mark Donald and his team at The Glenturret Lalique, at Glenturret Distillery, in Comrie, on achieving a first Michelin star within a year of opening; believes that these awards reflect the outstanding food culture across Perthshire South and Kinross-shire, and wishes both restaurants continued success.
