Woodland Clean-up
The motion
That the Parliament commends Lydia and Savannah Morgan for their dedication on clearing up their local woodland in Cambusnethan; understands that Lydia walks and collects the litter as part of her exercise therapy for her Parkinson’s symptoms; notes reports that around 12,400 people have a diagnosis of Parkinson’s in Scotland, the equivalent of one in every 375 adults, and that this number is growing; further notes reports that over 6,000 people live with more advanced Parkinson's where symptoms are complex; understands that Parkinson's can affect people of any age, and that almost one in six people who are affected by the condition are aged under 65, while one in three are aged over 80, in Scotland; applauds Kenny Caulfield for organising litter-picking sticks, black bin bags, and gloves for Lydia and Savannah, and wishes them well for the future.
