Russia Suspended from Participation in FIFA and UEFA Competitions

The motion

That the Parliament notes the decision of the Poland football association not to play Russia in a European qualifying play-off semi-final on 24 March 2022; further notes the decisions of the Czech Republic and Sweden football associations not to play Russia in any qualifying round; welcomes FIFA's announcement that all Russian teams, whether national representative teams or club teams, shall be suspended from participation in both FIFA and UEFA competitions until further notice, and believes that FIFA should formally expel Russia from this and all other qualifiers to send yet another strong message that Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine is totally unacceptable.
