Women in Social Enterprise: Angela Moohan, West Lothian Success

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Angela Moohan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Larder, on being named in the NatWest WISE100 2022: Top women in social enterprise; understands that Angela established The Larder as a training organisation that uses food to help young people build their confidence, and to develop their skills and careers; further understands that during the COVID-19 pandemic the organisation diversified to help those experiencing food insecurity by providing over 130,000 good quality, nutritious meals to those in need; acknowledges that Angela was commended in the Local Hero initiative, and attended the official opening of the 6th Session of the Scottish Parliament, on 2 October 2021, and welcomes that The Larder is continuing to combine its high-quality training provision with dignified food provision and a vision to campaign for the structural change that, it believes, is necessary to eradicate poverty and food insecurity.
