Ayrshire Symphony Orchestra to Hold First Post-Covid Concert in Ayr Town Hall
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Ayrshire Symphony Orchestra as it prepares to hold its first post-COVID-19 concert in Ayr Town Hall; understands that, due to the pandemic, the orchestra has struggled to perform in-person for a significant period of time; notes that the orchestra was founded in 1920 and gave its first concert in Ayr Town Hall; further notes that, over the years, the orchestra has had nine different conductors, all of whom it believes brought a variety of talent to the orchestra; recognises that the concert, in March 2022, is part of the orchestra's centenary celebrations and that its members have been enjoying coming together and playing again, and wishes the Ayrshire Symphony Orchestra well as it prepares to play in Ayr Town Hall.
