Man On Inverclyde Receives Cash Boost from National Lottery

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates mental health charity, Man On Inverclyde, on receiving £199,480 from the National Lottery’s Medium Grants: Improving Lives Fund; notes that, alongside creating local posts and funding the development of the organisation’s new base in Greenock’s Nelson Street, the cash injection will help the team to expand its vital mental health and wellbeing work; understands that, since it was launched in March 2020, Man On Inverclyde's eight members of staff and around 20 volunteers have worked with more than 200 people; recognises that Man On Inverclyde runs drop-in services for men, women, and young people, a peer support group, football therapy sessions, walk and talk get-togethers, and provides one-to-one support; commends the team for its commitment to supporting people with poor mental health, and wishes everyone involved all the best as they continue to grow their services for the benefit of the people of Inverclyde.
