Shawarma King in Glasgow Wins Best British Kebab House
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Shawarma King, based in King Street, Glasgow, on winning the best kebab house award at the British Kebab Awards ceremony; understands that the awards, which were held in association with Just Eat, were billed as a chance to recognise and champion the efforts of local kebab takeaways and restaurants across the nation; notes that Shawarma King beat off competition from nine other kebab houses in Scotland to take the crown, including two other kebab spots in Glasgow, and understands that owner, Majed Baderkhan, and head chef, Mohammad Baderkhan, Glasgow, are delighted to be recognised in this way.
