Fersands and Fountain Community Project Secure Young Start Funding

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the recent announcement that Fersands and Fountain Community Project has been successful in securing Young Start funding; notes that the community project has received a funding grant of £95,552; understands that the group will deliver a wide range of youth led activities based in the Woodside area of Aberdeen; further understands that the three-year project will involve around 200 young people as well as 40 volunteers aged between 12-25 years; understands that Young Start is run by The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland for the Scottish Government, which offers funding from £10,001 to £100,000; commends what it sees as the fantastic work, which Fersands and Fountain Community Project do within the local area, and wishes them all the best for the future.
