The motion

That the Parliament commends the efforts of Lady Business at Larbert High School through its project The Uplift; understands that the project is aimed at supporting the charity, Smalls for All, which collects underwear to give to adults and children in need in Africa and the UK; further understands that The Uplift collected 307 unwanted bras that will be donated to women and girls in developing nations where the garments are considered a luxury; notes that Lady Business, the group behind the project, consists of four 17-year-old pupils from Larbert High School, Sara Jack, Holly McKie, Eva McKie and Amy Leslie; understands that Lady Business was initially set up to campaign for free period products and that each year a new group of pupils takes over to focus on their own project for the benefit of women and girls; commends the efforts of all four pupils, the staff and school community, for the support they have shown this project, and wishes them continued success for future projects.
