Burnhead Bowling Club Receives National Lottery Funding

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Burnhead Bowling Club in Viewpark, North Lanarkshire, on its successful award of £10,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the money will enable the club to pay for chairs, catering and entertainment, facilitating a variety of intergenerational community events that will bring local people together throughout the year; believes that Burnhead Bowling Club does important work to support people of all ages in the Viewpark area through its delivery of accessible sporting activities, social events and functions, as well as providing an established Community Café that is understood to offer good quality, nutritious and affordable food, and recognises what it sees as the role that the National Lottery plays in supporting good causes across the country.
