Stirling Support and Fundraising for Ukraine

The motion

That the Parliament commends the fundraising efforts and support shown by organisations, businesses and individuals across Stirling; praises the community in Gargunnock for flying the Ukrainian flag from the village flagpole; commends Stirling Council on lighting up the Wallace Monument in the colours of the Ukrainian flag; praises Cowie Rural Action Group for organising a table-top sale to raise funds for those fleeing Ukraine; commends the fundraising efforts of Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline Forth & Clyde Valley Link in raising over £8,000 for children in Ukraine; praises Stirling Coffee for creating a Ukraine Solidarity Coffee, with profits from sales being donated to the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine Appeal; commends Stirling Albion FC and Stirling County Rugby Club for taking the time to show their support for Ukraine prior to their matches on the weekend of 5 March 2022, and encourages anybody that wishes to support Ukraine to donate to the Disaster Emergency Committee Ukraine Appeal.
