Stirling Hosts 2023 UCI Cycling Worlds Time Trial

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes Stirling's selection as the host of the Time Trial stage of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships; notes that the inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships will be hosted in Glasgow and across Scotland from 3 to 31 August 2023; acknowledges that the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships will welcome more than 8,000 amateur and elite cyclists from more than 120 countries, and that more than 190 UCI World Champions will be crowned; notes that the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships are being delivered in collaboration between the UCI, the Scottish Government, Glasgow City Council, UK Sport, British Cycling, Glasgow Life and VisitScotland, and wishes the event organisers, stakeholders and competitors every success during the championships.
