Congratulations to National Lottery Community Fund Awardees in Glasgow Kelvin

The motion

That Parliament congratulates a number of local and national good causes in Glasgow Kelvin constituency who have recently been awarded grants; understands that this includes Asthma and Allergy Foundation, to deliver a range of online and in-person workshops for children and young people, Community Infosource, to continue its work in reducing the prevalence of female genital mutilation and honour-based violence, Flourish House, to develop a programme of peer-learning and capacity-building workshops, Glasgow Afghan United, to increase organisational capacity and provide direct family support, Glasgow ESOL Forum, to develop ESOL provision, Headway Glasgow, for a programme of drama and arts workshops, and Legal Services Agency, to develop its employment rights support service; notes that it also includes No Feart CIC, to build on its pilot Freedom Programme for male perpetrators, Partick Circle Dancing Group, to restart weekly dance classes; the Scottish Iraqi Association, to fund support roles, the Scottish Refugee Council, to establish the Afghan Citizen’s Information Service,  and the Scottish Throughcare and Aftercare Forum, to continue its Youth Justice Voices programme, and understands that it also includes the Folan Trust, to provide counselling to address underlying unresolved trauma experienced through homelessness, Thriving Survivors, to establish a training programme for volunteers with lived experience to provide peer-mentoring to survivors of abuse, Together for Better Life, to support women from African and Middle Eastern backgrounds, and Waverley Care, to provide an HIV prevention street support service for people who inject drugs.
