The Big Step Campaign

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the work of the charity, Gambling with Lives, which, it understands, was set up by the families and friends of young people who have taken their own lives as a direct result of gambling, to raise awareness of the dangerous effects of gambling on people’s lives; notes the charity's Big Step Campaign, which, it understands, is calling for the support of football clubs to end gambling advertising and sponsorship in football; understands that the campaign is already backed by a number of football clubs across Scotland, and calls on clubs across Scotland to raise awareness of the issue, engage constructively with the campaign and play their part in its success.
