Another Young Pie Maker of the Year from Barry Downs’ WeeCOOK Kitchen

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Paul Curran, a 16-year-old apprentice at Barry Downs’ WeeCOOK Kitchen, on being named Young Pie Maker of the Year at the British Pie Awards 2022; commends the hard work and talent that it understands must be behind this achievement; acknowledges the pride that the whole WeeCOOK team, together with loyal customers, have taken in this success; notes that this is the second year running in which a WeeCOOK apprentice has won this award, and also celebrates WeeCOOK’s other prize in the 2022 awards, with its Fishwife Pie named best fish pie in Britain, as well as its recent securing of a £25,000 Business Improvement Grant from Angus Council.
