Larbert High School Pupils' Success at Growing Future Assets Investment Competition 2022
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Larbert High School S3 pupils, Lauren, Katie and Lily, on their success at the Growing Future Assets Investment Competition 2022; notes that the team was successful in winning the 13- to 16-year-old age group of the competition, and competed with eight other all-female teams from across Scotland; understands that the competition aimed to develop interpersonal skills, confidence, problem-solving and resilience in female learners in male-dominated industries, while teaching responsible and ethical investment; further understands that the Larbert High School team considered both environmental and social issues alongside these aims of the competition to win the competition; considers what it sees as the importance of female learners engaging in the Growing Future Assets Investment competitions to empower themselves and help them to consider themselves as the next generation of female investment experts; congratulates Lauren, Katie and Lily on their achievement in winning the competition, and wishes them well for the future.
