NHS Grampian Staff Complete Impressive Step Count Challenge

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates over 970 NHS Grampian health professionals, who, it understands, successfully completed 284,587,472 steps over a period of four weeks, travelling more than 216,000km by foot; understands that this distance equates to walking from the UK to Australia 14 times, or circumnavigating Earth five times, saving the equivalent of 3,994kg in CO2 emissions; further understands that the charity, Paths for All, who run bespoke Step Count Challenge for all workplaces nationwide, delivered the initiative to NHS Grampian for a third year, attracting a record 197 teams; understands that the Step Count Challenge is just one of the events facilitated by the service We Care, which is an initiative of NHS Grampian to support staff welfare, which, it understands is a top priority for NHS Grampian; further understands that weekly challenges, team involvement and sightseeing bingo games brought friendly competition and fun to reward the hard working staff; commends all of the participants and co-ordinators for their hard work, and wishes them all the best in the future.
