Kilwinning’s Shuttle Bus Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Kilwinning bus firm, Shuttle Buses, for receiving £485,955 from the Scottish Government’s Scottish Zero Emission Bus Challenge Fund (ScotZEB); understands that it is one of 12 transport operators that will share the funding of £62 million; further understands the funding will enable Shuttle Buses to add electric buses to the fleet; notes that the ScotZEB fund aims to allow 276 old, diesel-powered vehicles to be replaced with new, battery-electric models as part of what is, it understands, the Scottish Government’s largest investment so far in decarbonising the country’s bus network; congratulates Shuttle Buses on receiving the funding, and wishes all involved every success for the future.
