Camp Out for Cancer Raises Money for Ayrshire Cancer Support

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the effort of the campers who, it understands, braved temperatures close to freezing at Ayr Racecourse to raise money for Ayrshire Cancer Support; understands that Camp Out for Cancer saw a great turnout, with an anticipated £10,000 raised for the charity; further understands that, with one in two people reportedly now diagnosed with cancer, Ayrshire Cancer Support carries out vital work to support patients and families following a cancer diagnosis; recognises the efforts of Ayrshire’s Emi V and Christie Oliver for performing live entertainment on the night at Ayr Race Course for free, and wishes Ayrshire Cancer Support well as it continues to provide free practical and emotional support for people affected by cancer.
