Thurso College and Community Effort Supports People of Ukraine

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the work of Sofia Santos, a student who studies at North Highland College UHI, in Thurso, for gathering and sorting donations to Ukraine such as baby products, tinned food, clothing, toys, hand sanitiser, medical goods and toiletries; understands that Sofia, a third-year environmental science student, was moved by the plight of the country’s refugees and was grateful for the amount of donations received from individuals and the college itself; further understands that the collections were delivered for free by KW1CK to Inverness; welcomes the community effort to help provide basic goods to the people of Ukraine, and hopes that they inspire others to replicate Sofia’s, and the College’s generosity.
