Glenboig Development Trust Receives £24,145 eBike Grant

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Glenboig Development Trust on its successful application for three foldable eBikes and three adapted cycles; understands that the grant, which is worth £24,145, will be used to support older people, disabled people and people with reduced mobility; further understands that foldable eBikes were chosen as not only are they more adaptable for people with reduced mobility, but they are also easier to transport to different locations for leisure purposes and for people to store at their homes during longer term loans; praises the Energy Saving Trust for spearheading the programme, and understands that so far, the 2021-2022 round of funding has awarded £827,092 to 36 projects comprising of 216 eBikes, 56 eCargo bikes and 34 adapted cycles for communities.
