The motion

That the Parliament recognises the 48th anniversary of workers striking at Rolls Royce in East Kilbride against the dictatorship of General Pinochet; notes that the workers at Rolls Royce refused to carry out work on aircraft engines used by the Pinochet regime in the 1970s; acknowledges what it sees as the importance of trade unions in supporting workers and in the international solidarity displayed by the workers; understands that the actions of those working at Rolls Royce are believed to have saved countless lives in the struggle against fascism, and believes that the legacy of the workers will live on and inspire future generations.
